Med school started this week and life is now kind of hectic, so posting will be light as a result. Last Tuesday evening I had an awesome picnic with Casey at the Hollywood Bowl, where we saw/heard the LA Philharmonic conducted by Vasily Petrenko. Alexander Gavrylyuk soloed for Tchaikovsky's 1st Piano Concerto, and the Phil also played Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 and Dvorak's Carnival Overture.
Dinner: Baguette with Fontina cheese and salami, plus sugar snap peas and sparkling cider. Dessert: chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, strawberries and mango, gorgeous melodies and harmonies. All in all, a sublime evening. Thanks, Casey!
